Alright guys.

Basically, if I were to have a HDMI output on a computer (With no VGA output) and I wanted to connect it to a VGA input. Would this work?

HDMI (male to male) > HDMI to DVI converter (Female to female) > DVI to VGA converter (Male to female) > VGA cable (Male to male)

Would this work? I found a direct HDMI to VGA converter, but the reviews said it only worked in very specific situations. There are others, but they cost about £40.

Thanks if anyone knows.

I believe you need an active converter to go from HDMI to VGA not just jury rigging a line of DVI converters. HDMI is purely digital while VGA is purely analog and DVI has analog on the side (the square of pins is analog and the rest is digital). Some DVI ports don't support VGA either.
