computer crash

recently my compuer was making a funny sound from the video cards fan. i tapped my pc a few times then it crashed saying boot failure: system halted every time it starts, what do i do? i am currently using my wii to post so no videos very little ram on this thing

I'd start at the beginning, open your computer case and examine your video-card. Tell me, was it the one that came with the computer, or did you buy this one and replace the original video-card?

First up, don't tap so bloody hard next time.

Okay, easiest thing to do is open the box, unplug everything, give the bits a nice blast of compressed air, then plug everything back in.

Give Rhombus's advice a try, also try booting it up with the video card unplugged. What where the noises like? Was it like the fan just going crazy fast or something else?
