I've taken an interest in PC gaming recently. I would like to buy good quality computer parts and put it all together like a friend of mine did. I would like to spend in the areas of $500 and $700. What kind of parts do you recommend?

Here are two great options, if you can stretch your budget to $750:

Wow, that's a pretty great set up for the price. Good find.

Although it'd be more expensive for non-americans, damn you newegg.
Shipping would not be full of awesomeness and candy....

do you know, or at least want to learn how to put together your own gaming rig?

then newegg and tigerdirect are the places to go.

tigerdirect has some good deals sometimes, but the layout is too much of a clusterfuck, I can never find these so called deals anywhere...
