My taskbar freezes as do some programs (malwarebytes in particular) and my fn key is not working with my f1-f12. Tried running malwarebytes in safe mode, worked the first time...first time. Whats the deal?

I'm no expert, but it sounds more like hardware failure than software(virus,etc).
Have you measured the heat the individual components generate?
Speccy is a great program for that if your hardware comes with built-in temp devices (it should..probably).
Any old or "cheap" components?
Dust in the computer case?
