Computer screen problems. Need help immediately!

Hello, Escapist.

I have a little issue with my computer. The screen suddenly jumped to the left so I can't see the left side of the screen. The area on the right where the screen should be is just black, and I can't move my mouse there. I've tried using the screen adjustment buttons on the monitor, but the monitor is too big for the screen to be moved back all the way. I have no idea what to do.

If you have a control panel for your graphics card (Catalyst Control Center for ATi or NVIDIA settings.) you can try fiddling with those.

What's your OS, Windows or Mac? If Windows have you checked your Display settings? Are the fonts and icons normal size?

I'm running windows 7 and it's a widescreen LCD monitor. Everything is the correct size and when I turn down the resolution it all fits perfectly, but in proper 1920 x 1080 resolution it's...off to the left. And it really is quite bothersome.

Sure. Although, truth be told, I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to these sorts of issues. As you might have guessed.
