intel 3.0ghz quadcore overclocked to 3.4
8gigs pc6400 (cuz it was on sale)
asus mobo, blu-ray drive, dvd dual layer burner
dual 3870's on xfire
big crazy case with lots of fans and a 500gig harddrive.

My dream computer would be same or better specs for less than 1000 bucks considering I paid nearly 2k after the 24" 1920x1200 monitor, ergonomic keyboard, and klipsch speakers came into play. at least I know I'm good for another 5 years. If only people knew how not over the top expensive a new pc is, maybe pc gaming would still be a priority... (fuck off fear 2 console port)

i've never been a big fear fan anyways. but you are right. there are games that should just stay on pc or just stay on Console.

I do like that. I have my computer on the floor, so I prefer the USB ports to be on the top, and there's plenty of space. Looks like it'd be cool and quiet, too. No front door, either, which is good. 4 5.25" external bays as well. After a quick look, I can't seem to find a UK supplier, but I sure one'll turn up.

I'm buying more RAM soon, and am hoping to be able to afford a brand new case mod. I dunno what I would do for a case mod, but I want one nonetheless.
Also, I need more fans. >.<

i have tons of games installed but im currently not gaming much except for fallout 3

my dream computer would likeily run upto $40,000 or so
lol, wow. mine was only $31,000
by the sounds of it we both do our researcg for our dream machines, such as a kick ass bose surround sound system and oled wall paper to have awsome screen savers *drool* that would ram prices up into the millions

pfft..yes you can, I can have 3 vid cards running all in parallel, it's called quad SLI. They have to be the same card of coarse.

Were you talking about the 9800gx2? Because you said 1 or 2 extra 9800gx2 which I thought you meant 3 9800gx2's which is impossible.

No it's not, did you not see the pic there? It's certainly possible considering I HAVE the card and it comes with 2 different SLI bridges. The standard SLI bridge for 2 cards working in parallel and a second bridge which al;lows you to hook up 3 GX2's simultaneously. It IS possible and I know and seen people with that configuration.

Are you sure you aren't talking the 9800gtx? Those 3 cards were not the 9800gx2, read here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_9800_gx2_us.html

It says QUAD sli, which means 2 of the cards.

I could not find a suitable picture of the GX2 configuration BUT I DO know you can have 3 running at once, it isn't impossible trust me. I guess I should have said 3-way SLI instead my mistake. But whatever let's just agree to disagree and drop the pointless debate.
