I am in serious trouble her. My computer wont fully boot up. Im running Windows 7 on an Asus. When i turn on the computer it does one of two things, it either boots up, hangs on black screen wit my mouse cursor, then bluescreens after awhile, or it boots up, starts a disk check, hangs at "usn journal verification completed", then blue screens. At this point, i am willing to try anyting that wont involve wiping my C drive.

I forgot to mention it does the same thing in safe mode

It looks like something is corrupted in Windows, or you have some serious hardware failure somewhere, likely the hard drive, though memory is another contender. Can you tell us which BlueScreen error you are getting? If you made your restore disks, you'll have to use that to try and restore Windows. However, that may nuke your data. If you have a Windows 7 disk lying around you can try to boot of that and run a repair on Windows, that may fix the problem for you without reformatting the drive. If you have important stuff on your drive that isn't backed up you're going to have to create a Linux Live CD, boot off of that, and pull the files you want to keep onto a USB stick or whatever other medium, then use the restore disks to try to reset the computer to factory defaults.

If you don't have restore disks, you are going to have to contact Asus tech support and see if they will send them to you, you will likely have to pay a fee for them.
