Computer (Vista) Help

I have a 2 month old computer running windows vista. Whenever I try to update with windows update it shoe error code 80070424 and can give me no solutions. Does anyone know a solution? Any help would be great, thanks!

No idea. I've used Vista for a year and two months, almost, and I've never had any problems with it. So I have no idea what that error code means. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I tried what I could find, but it didn't work. I'm looking to find anyone who might know what to do.

Is it a version of Vista that is a update or a full version?
I suggest putting a call into Microsoft. If it's a Dell or a HP,call them first and see if anyone else reported the same error..

I saw a remedy, but it involves reinstalling. Extreme, but it should work.
