Hi, i'm planning on getting my first desktop, and i'm interested in getting games like shogun 2, Counter strike global offensive and DayZ.
How well would they cope on a system with these specs? I genuinely have no idea what most of the numbers mean or how good this pc would be for gaming.

- Power Supply: OCZ ZS 750w PSU
- CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40GHz @ 4.30GHz Processor
- Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H Intel Z77 Chipset (Socket 1155) Motherboard
- RAM:Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 16GB DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
- Hard Drives: OCZ Agility 3 240GB SSD & 1TB HDD
- Graphics Card: KFA2 GeForce GTX 680 LTD OC 2048MB GDDR5
- Sound: 7.1 Channel Sound (On-Board)
- Optical Drive: OcUK 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black)
- Cooler: Prolimatech Genesis Black CPU Cooler

If necessary I could SLI in another of the graphics card.

Thanks alot guys.

It's fine. Nothing to worry about. Get SLI if you're going play on a huge TV screen or getting a weaker GPU otherwise no.

This is more than enough for any modern game. In fact, I would say go for a lower end system and upgrade down the line. You can cut a lot of costs here without a huge drop in performance, although it would be noticeable. But, if you have no issues with spending the money for this system, I would say go for it.

My only suggestion would be to ditch the SSD, but that's only because I've had a really bad experience with an SSD where it crapped out after less than a year of use. They don't tend to last long, and the benefits to using one are hardly necessary.

Thanks alot guys, I can pick up this system on quite a good deal because I know the guy who's selling it, it's nigh on brand new too :D
Is it possible for me to remove the SSD after the system arrives/just not save anything on there and use the HDD?

Well, if it comes with an SSD, you might as well use it, as they are very nice. Just don't expect it to last as long as the rest of your computer.

indeed.

You can use S.M.A.R.T software technology (assuming the device is S.M.A.R.T compatible) to get an idea of the storage device's "health".

16GB of ram is way overkill for gaming.

Also you won't find SLI 680's necessary unless you want to run five screens at once.

Look at the latest Thermalright or Noctua coolers dude, Prolimatech are just big, not good.
