If you dont mind spending a few thousand dollars for an excellent laptop, I would definately suggest M-Tech.

I'd take these "M-tech" guys much more seriously if there website had "comic San MS" as there universal font and there laptops were red.

Other than that, pretty slick laptop
They talk about that in their "about our UGLY website" article. Although they would like a better look, they admit that they simply are not good at making things look nice.

"We here at M-Tech have made an astonishing revelation: apparently, when someone is consumed with a love for mobile technology, it also somehow steers them genetically away from any hope of being artistic or having anything that remotely resembles web design talent. This of course was shocking news to us but somehow was also a comfort. We could rest easier knowing that every employee here just couldn't design a website to save their lives and it wasn't their fault. It's just some genetic malady. Kind of like having a beer belly."
Hahaha, that's brilliant.

I'm totally man crushing the MTech guys now.

Its just money really. All the graphics manufacturers do is make every GPU to the same speed, then downclock some of them and rebrand it with a smaller number in its name and say thats for less hardcore gamers than the bigger one.

In this day and age, getting a powerful graphics card to work is pretty much a given so its no longer about performance, its about how much you can vary performance in a certain brand range to get the most customers attracted to it. Hence the GTX 250, 260, 275, 280, 285, 295 etc etc. That goes from mild gamer on a budget to extreme gamer who has more money than sense.

And its more or less gonna be the same with the GT-300 range. And ATI will be doing a similar thing with their next gen stuff too. Admittedly (spelling?) ATI's radeon naming structure has always been a bit less confusing than Nvidias, but then again who the hell cares... lol

BTW anyone reading silenthunter7's guide on building a PC should look at my comment about PSU's towards the bottom for more in depth info.
