I envision computers that can look back in time to see what we want before we get there.
Don't you mean look forward? If they look back, you haven't chosen what you want yet.
I'm thinking on a level that computers that we haven't even thought of yet will... oh god i hate time travel stuff!

It's quite possible that this might not be able to run Crysis. That makes it inferior

I'm not really all that bothered or excited about this. Do we really need computers with quantum speed? I'm satisfied with my computer's speed as is. I don't need it to be literally instantaneous. But if this research helps us make our computers faster, which helps bring the Singularity one step closer, who am I to disagree?

In my days we had to open every window by typing in a web address or looking in our favourites and we were glad to have it. Kids these days with their thought processors and ai assistance have it all but they still complain just because of a bit of dust or change in temperature. My keyboard was dirtier than a toilet bowl but I still used it and my screen burned my retinas' and wait. Come back...

So to sum it all up, nobody is quite sure when we will make this quantum leap, or if Ziggy will be there to help us...
Don't forget. We may end up being Ziggy. Any one else "Oh boy"-ing this?

OT: This is somewhat exciting. I hope that I will be able to use one of those computers.
