Just wondering what types of concerts other Escapists have gone to and they're opinion of them.

The best concert I saw was Megadeth. Heavy MTL comes second only because I didn't see the second day.

Ive been to Leeds Fest '09 - Glasvegas was the best of the weekend, All the other bands i didnt really see. Damn me being small & too polite to barge!

my first concert was a Styx/Foreigner concert, that was freaking wonderful

and my second concert was Cheap Trick/Heart/Journey, I FREAKING LOVE JOURNEY!

I went to a Rehab concert one time.
That was my first and only concert.
It was awesome. Though, it was ruined because of my jerk of an ex-fiance...
We not going into that though.

Dimmu Borgir
Iced Earth
Necrophagist
Suffocation
Deicide
Nile
Arsis
The Black Dahlia Murder

Just to name a few.

However, I never got to see Dissection live...something that will sadden me until the end of time.

Some symphonies, orchestras.
I saw Charli Parsip once.
He was epic.

Motorhead, Heaven and Hell, Running Wild, Saxon, Amon Amarth, Hammerfall and loads more. It. Was. Awesome.

Also I like concerts fine, but they really are not so much my thing as the theatre.

Never been to a concert in all my 18 years. Unless you count bar gigs, but I didn't go there for the bands. Nor the drink... No, I went because I could, and my brother worked there so I got in for free.

The best concert I ever went to was Kittie with Silent Civilian, Suicide Silence, and some other band that I can't remember. I was right up front, and I got some GREAT video and pictures!

I went to two concerts this summer, and they happened to be my first two - I saw No Doubt with Paramore in July (they were both fucking awesome), and then I saw blink-182 in August (also fucking awesome).

My favorite concert was Pigface on Thanksgiving in 1994. Bonnaroo in 2006 was also a lot of fun even if I got sick of hippies in a hurry. Favorite acts from that were Balkan Beat Box and Dresden Dolls.

I've to a good few. Examples be Rage Against the Machine, Blur, REM, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Smashing Pumpkins, QOTSA, Neil Young, Tenacious D, Foo Fighter and a bunch of others thanks the Irish Musical Festival Oxegen. But I'm currently waiting to go see Pixies in less than a month, which I'm hoping will be deadly!
You don't want to know what I did to get those tickets.

I saw Buckethead last year at a tiny venue in Atlanta. Crappy place, awesome show. Many years ago I saw Fear Factory at the same place. Ditto, but that show was worse because it was so freaking crowded.
