Confirmation on Fallout Vegas big bug fix patch?

I get most of my gaming news from Escapist as is, and saw an article saying that the big bug patch for Vegas was "submitted" but not yet up.

This was some time ago, before the DLC launched too. I bought Vegas opening day and slogged through the horrible bugs (including loosing a 23 hour save file to a brotherhood of steel bunker bug) before putting it down and taking a break for other games.

At any rate, is it confirmed, has the new patch been released and is it live? I'm craving some Mojave wandering.

Well, I got it for Christmas, so post-patch, and I've ecnountered practically no bugs.
It's frozen... twice? I think, but apart from that, no bugs encountered.

There is a new patch and let me tell you, I dread to find out what the game was like before this patch. I downloaded a few patches when I got it for christmas, and the game will still randomly freeze, crash behind loading screens, throw me into the floor, refuse to render the floor, cause vital NPCs to stay still when I need them to be on a fucking balcony and I have to push them there and when NPC's want to cut off talking for a while.

Also, the subtitles have typos. Mainly in Camp McArren.

Calumon: You struggle for stuff you like? Isn't there stuff you like without struggling for?

Intriguing... my New Vegas copy doesn't have any of that stuff. though I have yet to patch it, probably should.

Really in my first playthrough it wasn't *that* bad. I was used to Fallout 3 where occasionally the game would crash, its a big game, so I just saved often..


Sadly I didn't follow this as much in Vegas. I ended up loosing a good 20 hours as I had a single save file and had saved in the (SPOILERS) Brotherhood of steel bunker post-quest, which had removed the key to enter the bunker from my inventory. Unfortunately there was only one entrance, that being the now locked one.

With hope things will be set and good to go. I look forward to seeing what dead money has to offer. Thanks for the confirmation guys.

There are a couple, I've only encountered one game-breaking bug, though it's more poor design than a glitch/bug.

Since the latest patch I have noticied less bugs and glitches. I think you're just unlucky in getting bad bugs. I havn't seen anthing in New Vegas that comes anywhere near as horrible as The Pitt, that was a glitchy nightmare for me.
