Hello, i recently got into using amazon..

However, i purchased the wrong thing (Long story) and filed for a return. I Recieved an email from the seller stating: "Hi this is new stock - but if it's not compatible don't worry about it, it's not a lot of money just do as you wish with it and I will issue you a full refund"

Buuuuuuut Amazon says this: Credit Card or Amazon.co.uk Gift Certificate 2 to 3 business days or instantaneously (if you choose the instant refund option)

Sooo, er what?

I'm really very new to online ordering, i've kinda stuck to steam the last several months...

Still, any help would be apreciated.

Did you purchase from Amazon or did you purchase from a seller on Amazon?
From that response, you probably purchased from a seller. Usually if you want to return an item and the seller if okay with the return, you have to ship the item back.

Your seller doesn't seem to care about getting the item back, so just wait and make sure the money gets credited back to your account. When it does and you see it in your account, you're finished, you can do whatever you want with the item, but make sure you keep records of your email conversations just in case something goes wrong later.

When it comes time to leave feedback and everything went smoothly with the return (or not),
be sure to tell others in the comment box. Leave a good rating if things go smooth,
since quite a few sellers don't let you keep the items after asking your money back.
