So, I've noticed that most (if not all) gamers seem to have that one mistake they always make. So, time to fess up. What's yours? Be honest, now.

I always get cocky near the end of boss fights, when their health is low. That's gotten me killed so many times...

Knowing what i'm suppose to do, yet failing at execution.

The amount of times I know that I should focus cancel>dash>ultra yet managed to mess it up amazes me.

I get impatient with text boxes and tend to tap whatever "confirm" button there is as fast as possible in a vain attempt to get it over with. This sometimes causes serious problems (like, say, erasing my brother's saved game).

I play REALLY aggressively in FPS games. I can usually get away with it because I'm pretty damn GOOD at it. I can't remember the last time I wasn't on the top of the scoreboard for my team.

However this means that not only do campers completely obliterate me, it means I get REALLY frustrated by them.

I'm starting to think I need anger management classes because of how angry I get at some games...

I tend to take too much time to explore when I don't have to because I get paranoid that I'll miss something game-changingly important. In contrast when a game does require that you look in every place to find something that you'll need I tend to run down the linear corridors ignoring whatever power ups or weapons may be along the way and that has gotten me killed quite a bit.

I tend to do something wrongly in a mildy scripted sequence, quicksave. And continuously try to pass it with pure skill. Which for the most part is impossible.

In Assassin's Creed, running up a wall during a chase when I wasn't even trying to, this wall usually doesn't have ledges to cling to so I just drop back down.

If I have to play a frustrating sequence or level, I always do best the first time around, then get worse and worse as I get angrier until I finally finish it.

whenever i'm using a very powerful gun with extremely limited ammo, for example a magnum in Resident Evil 4, my accuracy inexplicably goes down the toilet.

I am embarrassingly awful at online multiplayer games. I was just playing TF2 and could say I was an actual detriment to my team. Here's an example. I once disguised myself as an Engineer and walked into a room with a sentry. With the guy I was disguises as right next to me. I didn't notice for almost 10 seconds and he killed me. Granted, i just got the game last weekend, but still...

I always waste my ammo too much. I use it on crappy stuff like mole rats, and then when I fight tough guys, well, I normally have 2 or 3 ammo left. :(

I tend to ignore side missions my first playthrough in any game. I go straight through the story, pretty much.

I always pick a play style that is more fun rather than more effective, so sometimes I'm kind of gimped. Not usually though. Speed and strength is what I usually go for (Speedy Agile Warrior in Oblivion, Melee Behemoth in New Vegas, Vanguard in Mass Effect) as I love to rush inand overwhelm enemies, throwing off their tactics in the process.

In shooters, I always pick ultra high power weapons that demand excellent accuracy on purpose, e.g. the Magnum and Military Sniper Rifle in Left 4 Dead 2, and I'm a mild shot on a good day. I also allow myself to get frustrated at points in games which are just poorly designed and not actually difficult, which just makes me play worse and worse and makes me more and more frustrated. Up until I go completely berserk and reach some kind of zen rage where I do everything perfectly without thought. I usually just stop playing for awhile before I get there though.

In Call of Duty I tend to pull both triggers at the same time to aim down the site and fire. However I unintentionally squeeze the entire controller which on more that one occasion has caused me to press the right stick which makes me knife when I'm trying to shoot. This ultimately results in me getting my ass handed to me.

I always forget to use powerful spells/weapons with long cooldowns or very limited ammo. There's always this little niggling doubt in my mind that lurking behind the next corner is something more powerful than anything I've fought before.

Dude, mole rats are just asking for the Shish Kebab. They love it, that's what I tell myself when I pick up the meat after.
They seem to like the deathclaw gauntlet as well. :) In my best character, I have tons of ammo for all my weapons.

buying a new game while in the middle of another.

No clue how many games I have not finished.
Same here. I bought New Vegas, downloaded Vindictus, and I'm probably gonna buy Amnesia: The Dark Descent too. And I have yet to beat AC: Brotherhood...
