Console Fanboys: Do they still exist?

Maybe it's just that I'm older and more mature and away from the stupid immaturity that is the american school system, or maybe it's because I subconsciously kept myself away from it but, I haven't really seen any acts of idiotic fanboydom anywhere for a long time...Maybe I'm just sheltered from it (thank God if I am).

Watch the videos then read the user comments...

That's just a readily available example. Honestly if you haven't seen fanboys lately, either you're trying to avoid them or you're just absurdly lucky.

You must not browse the internet much because fanboys ARE EVERYWHERE. Most game site forums have them. They come in all varieties...

Look for the YouTube channel "Machinima" and go to a video about an PS3/Xbox 360 exlusive game (if you can look for a new video) and read the comments there.

There is at least one of each subspecies listed by John in my college dorm floor. They often try to bring me into their arguments...but I simply reply with "you like what you like". I only have a 360, but I hate achievement points (I think achievements themselves are a nice way to gauge how much you've gotten out of the game), and enjoy playing MGS4 on friends' PS3s, so obviously the Xbot hates my guts, the Nintendrone is pissed because I refuse to play the inferior version of SSBM (Brawl), and the Sony-o-Tard keeps inviting me over to show me how awesome PS3 exclusives are.

Actively trying to convert/force your opinion on others = fail. I hate all three of them, the sony-tard the least though.

I'm considering a Wii purchase, just so I can complete the set. Also, because I'm told, by chicks, that chicks dig them. Once I have the set, I'll be able to bait the rabid fanboys with impunity. I'll attack their console's weakness repeatedly with rational arguments, wait for their inevitable frothing-at-the-mouth reply accusing me of homofaggotry, a lack of genitalia and not knowing what I'm talking about because I totally don't own one, then I'll pwn them in the face with my superior purchasing power.

On second thoughts, I'll stick to baiting them, watching them go rabid, then let someone else put them down like I currently do.

If you seriously dont think fanboys still exist, visit Gametrailers.com ^^, their forums consist of ~95% fanboys, which is the reason why i've stopped visiting those forums, oh, and this generation of gaming is the worst one i've witnessed so far when it comes to fanboys, and i've been gaming since Commodore 64/NES

Extreme inferiority complex is punctuated by a need to compare achievements to the size of their genetalia. Enjoys fragging, zombies and satiates itself on a diet of Rockstar energy drinks.

Yes because Acheivements are only for the Xbox 360, and aren't represented by something as stupid as a trophy.

3. Sony-o-Tard - A fanboy in decline. Somewhat less boisterous then other subspecies, but dangerous when cornered. Often shares it's territory with a different species of fanboy known as the Squarehead. Has more advanced civiization touting it's high end technology. As a result, has become somewhat elitest in recent years which has prompted an exodus amongst it's more fickle tribes. Avoids the Nintendrone and tends to war frequently with the XBot over shared territory.

And yet this seems to be the most vocal and irritating group of them all, waving their damn blu-ray around like it's the map to the Promised Land or something. And their civilization is very advanced, to the point it looks vastly different from Second Life

My point is as thus. Nobody can accurately point out what a fanboy of any of these groups are, because everyone will invariably get something wrong.
