Consoles will become Pc's

I think it would be a better idea, to give PC's software for Xbox's and PS3, and that you could plug the whole thing into your house, and just use 1 PC as central, and have a few monitors around the house, so you only need 1 central pc, and you can play games anywhere, and browse anywhere, and make sure it is also connected to your tv.

That is a bloody good idea, i got excited ears* just from reading this.

Consoles are already wanna-be pc's. Let's see... slightly modified celeron cpus (which are far less powerful than cheapass low-end pc chips), motherboards (that are basaed off now ancient pc hardware), hard disks (that don't have the storage capacity, speed or even quality of current pc tech), ram that's more than 3 generations behind pc, video cards that don't even rate as low-end ultra budget tech, and a control system that's barely past the 1980s in advancement.

Yeah, consoles want to be computers. They just lack any of the worthwhile parts, and lack the ability to plug the latest, most cutting edge gear into the machine and go.

Console fanboys can cry as much as they want, but the computer will ALWAYS be at the cutting edge, leading the way in technological breakthrough. In fact, I'm happy to say, that if it weren't for you console loving fucktards holding us back, gaming would be at a point where to play a game, all you had to do was tap a button on the side of the implant connected to your brain.

Fuck you consoles, for lumping us with games stuck in in technology that's so far past its use-by date, the smell is clearing out neighbourhoods.

Wow really? I feel that keyboards are a superior gaming utility, I can't really get into console games (especially FPS's) I can only really feel like I am immersed in a game if its for the PC.

I think the main things that put me off are the position I'm sat in, as with a console I have a comfy chair, a foot stool and a big tv set up, and I like the feel of relaxing with the controller, rather than being sat up at a desk with my arms relatively wide apart.

The other reason is that I find the keyboard to be the main problem. Since I've always had a console controller to game with I'm very used to the 360 degree mobility of a joystick, and have learned to be pretty accurate with the aiming on the other. As such, when I switch to WASD controls I feel limited. I can either run up, down or diagonally, and there's only walk on/off, run on/off. It lacks the speed control of a joystick.

These 2 factors are the main things that put me off, but I've got nothing against those who can use the PC set up.

For the record, I once took my xbox360/PC controller to a friend's house and played some Halo CE online through his good gaming rig, and came in the top 3 of the match, so I'm not exactly hindered by my use of a controller.
