Constellation Story!

I am doing an assignment for my grade 11 astronomy class, where I have to remake a constellation story. I can completely change it (for example, the little dipper is supposed to be a small bear, I could say it is actually a spoon). It can be funny, scientific, whatever. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

I got one for ya.
Im not gonna do your story for you, but i will give you a few pieces, and hopefully you can make something out of it. The constellation Cancer is just a few stars that people thought looked like a crab. I always thought it looked like a bow and arrow. anyways, it turns out that Apollo 1 was actually just a slingshot, and they put a crab on the end. it worked so well that this little crab joined the stars.
Also an unknown fact, my brother told me recently the one of the outermost stars on orions belt has gone out! we wont see it for thousands of years because of how long it takes light from those stars to reach us! neat, huh?

Anyways Chinese constellations would be cooler i think, not that i know any of the top of my head. I think they would have a dragon a tiger hell they might even have one for every animal in their calender; look on wiki for that info.

Astronomy in the 11th grade? That's awesome, I wish I had taken that class.

The key to a good story is a strong protagonist, one that the audience can identify with, and to make him identifiable you have to make it very clear what he or she wants. Example: In Wall-E, his main goal, which he was always pursuing throughout the movie, was to hold Eve's hand. You need to clearly map out who the protagonist's enemies and allies are. He should have one main antagonist and one mentor who helps him. But the protagonist needs to be the one taking all the decisive action. TvTropes has a great article on the hero's journey, a story structure that is seen in probably 99% of movies.

I'd say, that you should do it yourself, but Im in the same class as you, sitting right next to you, so make up a story of the big dipper of being a spoon not a bear, and have it like killed a empire or somthing.
