While its always bad to settle for less. But that sounds like a good start. A balanced beginning will help you find your path later on, rather then most people whom stumble around in the darkness hoping for the best.

So i'd say it sounds pretty sweet. Life-quality isnt measured in how rich you are or what you have achieved, its how you experience life that matters, no1 else can tell you how to live your life or what to do with it. If it makes YOU happy, then thats all that matters.

Sounds good, as long as you still do some other things occasionally, like go on holidays, or go to the movies or something.

Excess is bad for your soul/emotional well being/metaphysical nonsense. Desire for excess is just as bad. You don't need something ridiculous to be happy, why let the desire for it dominate your life?

Meh. Sounds fine. One thing I know is that potential doesn't get you anywhere if it can't be used, so no matter how much you may have, it'll be worthless anyway. As such, your father can stuff it. :p

I don't blame you for your views on the educational system. To it, and 99% of the world, it isn't what you know that gets you in the door (Gotta get in the door to show off what ya know, no?), it's what *others* say you know. You could ace finals in classes, but fail because of late work or something as idiotic.

I just wonder why you'd get a job you don't much care for. After all, you spend most of your life at the workplace doing whatever. Least do something you find enjoyable. >_>

If you are content with your goals, you are not striving for mediocrity. If that were the case I'd be "content with mediocrity" simply because I don't want to be the CEO of the biggest company in the world and buy Hawaii.
