Contests and you

I just sent in my participation for a mapping contest [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0TnR2SsCAo] for RPGmaker:

This led me to wonder what contests my fellow escapees have participated in. Or more importantly: Did they win?
So, what contests have you participated in, and (what) did you win?

I've won a live goat at a raffle.

I swear, these things just sort of happen to me.

I ended up winning an Xbox360 and a copy of Aliens Vs Predator when they were doing the AvP contest here at the Escapist.

I enjoy contests, especially if the prizes are worth it and even more so when the challenge is something I know I can do. I mostly prefer competitions and contests that require skill more than luck however.

I used to do a lot of those finish the sentence type contests, ya know like 'In 100 words explain why Pepsi is great, Pepsi is great because...' I won a mountain bike, some roller blades and a bunch of small stuff.

I won a Nintendo DS from a Fanta website competition.

I started putting a couple of quid into the lottery over the last 6 months and I've won 4 times.

My parents believe whole heartedly that I am lucky, it is very difficult to scientifically argue the chance statistics with occurrences like the above.

my primary school team won every game of basket ball that we played and I played every minuite of every game.

My community team won the local championship but not every game.

I won a whole mess of local judo tournaments and a state wide Suncorp sponsored competition, the next day I was beaten by the guy who can second, at the state champs .

My highschool volleyball team won everysingle game by points but unfortunately our team was a little slack so none of them counted as we were always one or more players short of a full team so lost by default, we played the game down and still won all of them.

I've never won a game of chance or any competitions that are artistic talent related.

I rarely enter competitions. In fact, I only seem to enter them on The Escapist. I've won once, a free game from GamersGate, which was lovely.

The only thing I can think of is I won an early demo access code for Lost Planet 2...

I entered a few graphic design contests and actually won a few. I really didn't win anything, but I did have my designs being used in the public so that makes up for it.

I entered a contest on Spofity about adding a rock song to the best Rock Playlist out there by Sony... Or so they say, at least.

The prize are some tickets for Ozzy Osbourne and some other artist I've misplaced the name on...

.. That was perhaps 10 days ago...

Eh i don't enter contests that much but when i do i usually win something. Never anything big though. Just small trinkets and stuff.

I won the shoe off a guy who passed out at a lan party along with maybe 20 dollars.
That's the only one I can think of.

I won $30 for winning one of the Reviews of the Month at GameFAQs.

That's really about all I've won.
