All games have their annoying parts, like mandatory minigames that aren't fun for anyone. But have you ever been so pissed off that the only option was to throw the controller at the console?
Two of my favourite game series are Resident Evil and Final Fantasy and, as you probably know, they're not fond of checkpoints so there have been times where I haven't saved for a while and that big bastard Nemesis comes from nowhere and I'm sent back three hours or I'm on the final final boss on FVIII and it pulls off some cheesy unavoidable move that sends me back about 300 bosses.

I get through playstation controllers quite a lot...

I can honestly say that I've never thrown a controller at a console. I'm usually very calm when I play, even if the game is frustrating.
When it's a game like Final Fantasy or Lost Odyssey and I die after a long time with no save points, then I just turn the game off and stay off it for a long time.

hmmm... probably the difficulty of the Chimaera on Epic Difficulty in Titan Quest. its pretty much impossible to have enough hp or poison resistance.

everytime i get hit by a Panzerschreck or RPG in COD, and some prick i didnt see shoots me in the side.

when the Patriarch in killing floor starts meleeing me constantly, its pretty much unavoidable and he will sometimes spam it on end.

Quite a lot of moments in Prototype. Most of the later missions made me want to throw my laptop out of the window. Still love the game though

Same here. I would never hurt my dear console.

OP: Rayman Raving Rabbids minigame where you had to hit a radio to make the bunnies dance, then attack them. All in a limited time. And the controls were jammed for some reason. So I tried, and tried, got mad, ragequitted, looked up what to do on Google and found out that you have to change the TV settings to be able to do it correctly. At that point I hated the game. Although nothing was thrown.

Resistance 2 online competitive... so cocky they all are.

edit: never broke or threw anything because those things cost money I don't have.

Pretty much every game I play (unless its piss easy).
Mainly because I have a shitty self image which has me constantly berating myself for being unable to do anything right (regardless of whether this is true or not). As such, when I sit down to play a game and supposedly relax, it pisses me off to find yet another thing I suck at.

As a recent example. Smash Bros Brawl, 15 min Brawl. I've maybe gotten up to the 5-2 min mark once. Now no matter how many times I try, or experiment with different characters, I always fuck up not long after the 10 min mark.
The worst part is when its something cheap like a bob-omb or something that I got pushed onto.

I can only think of 2 examples

1:Kane&Lynch:The section where you have to kill the truck driver ,my head nearly exploded in anger trying to do that
2:Heavenly sword:The section where you have to protect master shen as he crosess the bridge in chapter 2,the heavy reliance on the Sixaxis along with shen`s incredibly slow movement speed meant that i`ve simply stopped playing the game for fear of what damage i might do to my PS3

The rail shooter sequence in Jak 2 on the strip mine. Also the rail shooter sequence in Jak 3 when you defend spargus city.

As much as I respect Naughty Dog, if they put rail shooter sequences in uncharted 2, they're on my list.

Mario kart.
The original one. Blue shell hit me 3 feet from finish. Ended up with 5th.

I put that Wavebird through the wall. Not into it mind you, through it, as in out the other side.

Fffffffuuuuuuck your heat-seaking missiles, annoying strike teams, and artillery fire that knocks me off of buildings.

Furthermore: That mission where you have to destroy like 12 helicopters that are running away from you.

Not fun.
That one wasn't too bad for me. The moments that really made me swear were
- When you have all your powers taken away
- when you have to try and get into one of the boss's tanks, with helecopters knocking you off every time you try, and an instant fail if the tank gets blown up. Which it does. Repeatedly.
- Having to take out all the bloodtox pumps...dear god.
- Mother. Just...Aaaaaaaaargh.
- Any time in the late game when a strike team gets called in if you do so much as break a window.
- Protecting the main Bloodtox pump from two leader hunters at the same goddamn time

There. That about does it. Oh, wait, and...

- Trying to infiltrate a base with about 10 bloody viral detectors surrounding the place. I know you can sabotage them but one wrong move and...aargh...*chews on keyboard*

Come on. Chewing on keyboards is unhealthy. Take this instead *hands some arsenic*. That will make your troubles go away...

On topic, my worst ever throw the controller at the screen moment was in prince of persia warrior within. It wasn't a game where you could save at any moment you like. Oh no. You had to find a fountain, then drink out of it. But not any fountain. A special one. Cause the water had "special properties" or something. sigh.

Anyway, I got to a point where you are the sand wraith, and i got beaten to a pulp by some enemies. I managed to keep enough of my health to survive a while-but it kept draining and for that small an amount of health it was going FAST. I managed to get round a corner, and saw the fountain that would heal me and save the game. I litterally got within an inch and died. I reloaded-just so happened the last checkpoint was after the battle. Same again.

And again.
And again.

There was no way i could bridge that last inch in time!! You have to be at the front of the fountain to drink, so i couldn't just drink out of the side. I re-did it like 10 times trying all kinds-rolling to move faster, whatever. But no dice. Lets just say...controller...R.I.P.

Played some Street Fighter II on my PSP today. And Blanka keeps beating the crap out of me. I try Bison, Zangief, E. Honda, Guile, Sagat, Vega, Balrog and nothing works. I was about to throw it out of the window until I managed to steal a victory with Ryu.

The Last Beat The Bomb-race in FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage. I swear to God, it took me atleast 1,000 tries to actually beat it. I'd been close many times before, but some crap would always end up under my car and send me flying into a wall. I was fucking fuming at times, I was not far from smashing something.

Hehe, I managed to get 13 minutes 20 seconds. By the end, Lucario was on 500%-i could stand there and just ordinary melee someone, and they would fly off. One enemy managed to gte to me-I was using his UP(hold) melee, where he makes an arc with his foot, and things just can't miss it. My finger slipped off the button, and in the one second that it took me to press the block button so I cvould re-configure my fingers, an enemy punched Lucario square in the stomach. It took me like 10 seconds to realise I had been beat.

After this i gave up. I got very close and that's good enough for me
