Cool save points

I'm tired of glowing save points. It seems like every other save point I see manifests itself as a shimmery rock or altar or amorphous circle. What games let you save creatively? (I give points to Dead Rising 2 for saving when you take a leak)

Speaking of save points, I much prefer save points to "save anywhere". Saving anywhere removes a lot of risk from games. Imagine Mega Man if you could save before every jump or enemy.

I really don't like save points. Mind you, I mostly play RPGs, but nevertheless, I've had that many occasion of 'Oh, I really need to go and do so-and-so, but if I quit now, I'll lose so much progress'.
