Oh so many cool videogame deaths. It's nearly impossible to choose! Are we talking about an enemy, or for yourself? I
n RE: 4 Those Regenerators had cool deaths. They kinda popped, like balloons. Only, you know, they blew up first.
And in Grand Theft Auto, I once jumped out of a helicopter going at full speed and smashed into the side of a building so fast that the camera didn't even follow me, and instead kept going forward with the helicopter. I died off screen.
In Deadrising, there are lots of fun squishy ways to kill zombies. Like jamming a shower head into their necks and watching blood poor out of their heads, or rolling a bowling ball at them and watching them crash. The Soccer-ball was kicked at a high speed, and knocked over tons of zombies like a flying death ball. And the giant swords cut people in half, diagonally.
In Fallout 3, the wide variety of gory death could be seen everywhere. A particular favorite was putting an active mine in the pants of a super mutant, and watching it panic. Personally, I played through a game once, and there was a point in the Germantown Police HQ where I hid behind a piece of broken wall, and shot the head off of a super-mutant talking to another super-mutant, and his head just popped. And the other super mutant didn't even care, and just stood there, waiting to get his head popped off too.
Videogames have a habit of making death exciting. Like every "FINISH HIM" in mortal combat.
