fantasy weapons
the bfg from quake 2, i mean that slow moving green ball of impending doom was the scariest thing to round a map corner in mp and see coming in your general direction.
the super gravity gun in hl2 epi 1 or 2 i forget but that was sad when it ran out of juice as you left the big building.

katana, cause its a fing katana and if you watch enough anime we all know katana > anything.
guns real life
barret anti materia rifle, i mean it can blow people to bits, take out a vehicle, all from like a mile away, and it looks mean as hell whats not to like.
guns movies
m41a pulse rifle from aliens just the sound it makes firing is heavenly, plus its got a grenade launcher for explody goodness.
just too many cool weapons out there.

Though I must agree with Quantum Roberts here.. Got one of those myself, and I quote; "What a badass knife!".
The blade of that knife is shaped as an axe, meaning you have a very, very heavy blade! I've seen demonstrations of Khukris decapitating oxen in 1 blow (I was down in Nepal for two weeks some years ago.. Nice place..)..Quantum Roberts said:

It's a different way of cutting/chopping, but it's VERY effective!
(Not, the Khukri that decapitated the oxen were far longer then the one in the picture. It had about a 60cm/2 feet long blade for that extra leverage!)
Once I cough up some money I'll order a new one.. the one with the rubber handle.. It's not very ergonomic to wail around with an über-axe-sword with a handle made out of buffalo horn..
Honestly, I love Kukri's myself, and as far as normal real-life weapons go, I love the Kukri machetes that are sold in some weapon sites.
Whatever the hell you please in Deus Ex, if you upgrade it enough. What's that, you ask? Can I headshot someone from across the map with a scoped shotgun then slice my way through that explosives-proof door in a single swing of my Dragon's Tooth Sword? Why yes. Yes I can.

It's actually just a tank with 20 weapons... but they're all so badass.
You get:
-2 kinds of classic pulse-guns
-2 kinds of mortars
-A napalm cannon
-A freon burst cannon to freeze targets (which can then be shattered instantly with a single pulse-gun shot)
-4 kinds of mines (detonation and proximity)
-A laser that rebounds off walls and incinerates enemies
-A laser that's similar to the last one, but once it hits an enemy, it begins charging. After 2 or 3 seconds of charge, the enemy is obliterated.
-A Sonic Burst cannon that fires waves of concentrated sound
-The "arc saber" which fires lightning that chains onto other enemies
-Lock-on missiles
-Tether guided (remote control) missiles
-Lock-on NUKES
-Tether guided NUKES
And it has four modes, Treads, Amphibious, Hover, and Sub.
Yeap. You lose.
