I just started costuming fairly recently, and unfortunately don't have requisite skills and tools to get some of the things I want to do done. On the plus side, one of my friend's is an excellent leather worker and semi professional costumer, who's helping me out on things I can't do myself. =D
I just finished v.1.00 of my first partial set of armour for a steampunk-y costume I'm slowly working on, and am totally pleased with the results.
Okay, so I know all I did was spray paint catcher's pads copper. I'm working on getting leather to replace the straps so they'll match my trench coat that's being worked on. Still, I'm really pleased with how they came out, they look awesome, don't they?
That said, anyone got tips, suggestions for what I can do to add to them? Anyone got projects you want to share, or want some ideas for? Share 'em!
