From Steam really, try a few demos and free games. Best to wait for the deals they always have going, the prices can get immensely cheap.

Alien Swarm is alright and free on Steam.

You've a good CPU and buttloads of RAM but that's an awful video card unfortunately. You might be able to run it on low but no higher really.

PS: That could be a good gaming machine if you invested ~$100 in a decent video card. I know messing around inside your computer sounds daunting but replacing a video card really couldn't be easier.

i may get a new video card if i start to game on my pc more. Im just glad that it cost us around $200, for a basic computer. I didnt even realize that my new pc was actually good.

I'd highly recommend it, you probably won't get into gaming much on your PC if it looks like crap. Even for less than $100 you can get much better-than-console graphics.

Agreed, everything's good 'cept the video card. But SC2 really isn't as intensive as one should think (though ultra settings on a laptop might be a little naive).
Sadly, Starcraft 2 isn't available at steam, so you either have to buy it directly from blizzard or at retail (I recommend retail, got my game 30$ cheaper there)

make sure that it's DX11 compatible if you want maximum quality but you need at least a DX10 if you want to start playing games that are coming out.

It's a great computer but the video card... get a new one, before you get starcraft. May i suggest the good ole' Nvidia 9800?

Yeah, I'd say you could. Maybe on low to medium settings due to the graphics specs.

Try this and see:

yeah why? Is that good?
Not so much that but 'performance rated' makes no sense, it's not been overclocked so it's running at 2.93Ghz, not 5.274.

It's also not really possible to have 5.9gb of RAM.

Also is this a laptop? I thought the 300 series were all portable.
