I agree, this would be a nice addition. It seems pretty clear now that the subject and themes behind Gamergate are wide and diverse, too much to contain within a handful of "master threads", if you will.
It's beginning to clog up the OT section. Sure, the subjects do beg discussion, but it would be nice to leave all those discussions in their own sub forum. "Gaming politics" or something like that sounds fine to me.
It would be nice to step into the OT section of this site again and not be instantly choked with a dozen GG threads. This might be a lot of work for the staff of the site. But I think this would be a generally positive change that could make everyone happy.

It is insanely annoying that it takes up all of OT though, I will agree with that. I can barely find any other threads to post in.
But I can't really disagree with this. Trying to imagine a subforum strictly dedicated to gaming politics, especially given the current state of such affairs wouldn't be a very pleasant atmosphere.
It's kindof a difficult thing to balance though. More and more GG threads keep soaking up the OT section. Should the discussions be moved elsewhere, or wait until the whole thing hopefully blows over? Hmmmm...
