Today is may the 4th (may the force (be with you), geddit? ;D). And this link popped up in my news feed.: http://maythe4th.starwars.com/countdown.php
It's 2 hours and 40 minutes remaining as I post this here.
I'm guessing it's probably just details about the blu-ray release or perhaps something about the 3D versions, but one can perhaps hope it's something better or more interesting.
Front page has a blu-ray logo next to the date.

So what do you think it is?

Yes I got an email about this yesterday, and noticed the counter.

I also think it's yet another re-release of the movies as the page title mentions Star Wars: The Complete Saga. So it'll be some big box of movies, or 6 little boxes to make us buy them all yet again.

Damn you Lucas for trying to squeeze more money out of us! Also it'll probably work... :)

It showed up on my newsfeed as well. Alfador's idea that it's the formal announcement of the blu-ray set makes sense, except that I could have sworn they officially announced that quite a while back. The 3D theatrical re-release makes sense too, except, you know, already announced. I'm thinking it's either something to do with the TV series, or (oh please, oh please, oh please) Lucas has finally caved on allowing a properly restored (i.e., transferred from a good quality print, with the best possible sound and image quality) version of the theatrical cut of each film to be released along with the other Bluray editions. Honestly, that last option is what it's going to take to get me to show any interest at all in the blurays; in fact, if they announce that, it will officially be time for me to buy a bluray player.

If it's another f*** Force Unleashed game I swear now I will kill the first paying starwars fanboy I see, in retaliation...

Lets just hope its a coffee maker that looks like R2-D2 or something...

Hopefully it's about how they changed the "complete saga" to only IV-VI

It's redirecting to foxmovies.com ... where the front page has X-Men First Class? Is Darth Vader an X-Men now?

Finally it's revealed, that page now forwards to the website for...

X- Men First Class.

I can honestly say I didn't see that one coming.

It's a remastered Blu-Ray Christmas Special.
You know, I'd buy that. I'd buy it, and then invite a bunch of people over to MST3K it while drunk. Although, I have a confession to make: I watched the Holiday Special and I liked it. Not "This is so bad it's good" liked it, no, I "This is actually a decent Christmas special" liked it.

Now that I have that off my chest, I have to say, the details that have been released are not interesting me. I was hoping the extra three discs would be the decent treatment we've all been hoping the theatrical cuts would get. Instead, it's two discs of storyboards and deleted scenes, plus a disc of documentaries that somehow leaves out both Empire of Dreams and Making the Magic, the latter of which I've been meaning to finish since I was seven, but unable to because I only borrowed the CD-ROM that it came on, and I didn't finish it in the time period I had it. It wasn't helped by the interface of whatever arcane video format they used; it sucked, plain and simple. But the documentary itself was pretty cool, and I've always wondered why it wasn't released in a higher quality format.

Anyway, I would have gone out and bought a Bluray player just to get my hands on the unaltered theatrical cuts. Given what's actually in the box, though, this sounds like yet another re-release that I'm going to skip.
