Howdy everyone.

Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I'm one of those weird people that makes videos of the games he and other people play.

Just bought Counter Strike Source today, and downloaded quite a few demos[footnote]Demos are a video file that can be recorded in game with little to no framerate loss[/footnote] for it, however, every single one of them say that they're outdated, and can only be watched/recorded by the Old CSS.

My question is, how do I do this? Is it the Counter Strike Source: Beta that came with my purchase? Do I have to mod the game files?

Any help would be appreciated.

Pretty sure you can't, the CS:S engine got updated not that long ago and demos from the old engine wouldn't work.

The beta isn't exactly public, it goes public for a limited time when they need new people then close it again. But once you're in it it stays in your games list. (unless it's in your games list in which case ignore this. although I'm not sure why it would come with new purchases when people wouldn't really know what they're comparing the changes to)

Download newer demos.
