Hello Escapists, I am in the process of coming back to this game competitively and I'm also teach one of my friends how to play league games also. Now the real question is this there used to be a program in which it showed the overview of every map with the call signs.
It also allowed you to draw on the map and create tactics, this would be great to use to teach my friend how to play in matches but I cannot for the life of me remember the name of this program do any of you know the name?
And where to get it?
The name is the most important as I am sure I can find it once I have that.

Wouldn't it be the perfect time to start thinking about CS:GO, i.e. getting your friend into that instead since it will be the next big MP boom.

Yeah but can practice on css till we can play that. either way he has to learn the sports and basic strats then when cs:go we cna improve on it but thanks for the imput. also I recognise a Mr K from css were you in ed?

No I don't think I ever used this handle on CS, also only played CSS for a very short time because I just like the old smooth non Steam encumbered version better.

CS:GO and CS:S are almost identical.

I guess we'll see the two moving apart when it opens up to mods, but in competitive terms? The recoil deviates from Source but the maps and such are the exact same.

There's a fair difference with De_Nuke, there's no stairs that lead down to B from CT side on the left, that seems to be the only change.
Dust 1 has changed too, adding those stairs on the right in the tunnel that leads to the top as well, so they arn't EXACTLY the same.

I'm enjoying the CS:GO Beta, still needs a fair few tweaks though. The Molotovs and Incendiary grenades are a nice addition, although the fake grenades seem kind of arbitrary really.
