Let me start off by saying how the personification of countries has drawn my attention for quite a while. By this i mean like how If the world was a school America would be a bully and England is the little guy who hangs with him or (my favourite) how England is the parent of America and Canada and Canada is the well behaved one.

So my question to you is what would you liken different countries to being like if they were people?

Scotland is your crazy old uncle who spends all his time in his shed, he has a drinking problem but is secretly a mechanical genius.

England is the head teacher at an exclusive private school who was fired for starting fights about football.

Ireland is the cousin you hang out with if you want to have a good time. He's pretty much broke, but he's good for a laugh.

Wales is your cousin who lives in the country and sort of keeps himself to himself. Fantastic singing voice.

America is the guy upstairs who won't turn down the music and threatens to beat you up if you ask him to.

Canada is the guy who lives upstairs from America. He's a nice guy, plus you have being sick of America's shit in common.

Mexico is the guy who hangs around outside America's apartment selling drugs.

Australia being the weird cousin we're glad lives far away, but visits a lot.
I think England would be the nerdy one in the school of America being the bully.

This will be very difficult to answer without insinuating racism (for that one person who takes things too seriously), so with that in mind I can only comment on my home country:

England, as the guy who sits to once side (on a bench?) and shakes his head at the others.

...But that's not how it was in the wars, so really I don't know, that's just how I picture our culture.

I am too attached to Humon's personifications in Scandinavia and the world [http://satwcomic.com/], so I want them to be like that...

Russian bear who only enjoys his bowl of honey, but everybody looks at him and thinks he has some nuclear honey pointed at him.

Last time I posted in one of these I got suspended for commenting on other countries how I saw fit.

So. I'll comment only on my country.

Texas. The guy at the bar wearing the big hat, telling stories of past times, of how he never let the man get him down. And how he's carrying no less than 3 firearms and two knives on him at all times. Oddly enough, most everyone likes him.
