I don't put much stock in reviews these days, ever since competitive multiplayer shooters with lackluster campaigns like CoD and Battlefield and Halo actually started getting 10/10s, despite the gaping flaws of a lacking single player, that should be put into the scores...But, I'm worried. And I digress.
7s are fine. 7s are perfectly functional games. But the REASONS for the scores are what's scaring me...
It's basically a carbon copy of the first, with even more mundane objectives, slightly better gunplay, a glider, and 4 player co-op. And seems...uglier.
I was hoping that the game would expand from the repetition of the demo...But now, I'm not so sure. I LIKED the demo, but at the same time, I felt that all of my objectives were too similar. And indeed, that the game's shift in art style, caused it to lose...something.
Now...I'm getting worried. Especially after Jim Sterling's 4.5/10 on Destructoid. I actually AGREE with most of his scores, from his 10/10 for Deadly Premonition, to his low scores for much-hyped letdowns.
What are your thoughts, people? Should I be worried? Are YOU worried, fellow Crackdown fans?
