Crackdown

So, I've been looking at Crackdown, for the 360, and I think it could be quite good. The drop in co-op intrigues me. However, am I able to do that with a friend, in my house, with two controllers? Cause all I see mention of in reviews is drop in online play. Which is cool, still, at least I know my friends are mature, and I like them lol. Also, well aware that this game is old news, I apologize, I only recently obtained a 360.

I don't think so. I believe Crackdown's multiplayer is over Xbox Live only.

Crackdown was good fun and i wanted to do local co-op too but couldnt find any way to do it. Online only. Best you can hope for locally is maybe compete with the challenges or something.

Unfortuantely its down to the limitations of the 360, (and quite possibly most consoles) before I inadvertantly set this thread alight.

Having a full open world sandbox where 2 split screen players can go anywhere separate of each other would put a nasty strain on the poor CPU of the console, alas, that time has not yet arrived.

As the others have said, Co-op is online only in Crackdown.

However, it is an awsome game. I bought it for £5 of my friend, and have put more hours into it then I have games like Halo. It is great fun and finding all the Orbs in the game s seriously addictive.

Only exclusive games I can think of that'll be awesome to buy in months to come for the 360 are Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, and maybe...maybe Halo: Reach.

Hmmmm. Well, the inclusion of local co-op was just a bonus. It does look very cool. I shall consider buying. But there's SO much to buy now. I waited too long lol.

you can't split screen it, only over live,

but it is worth it though, awesome game.
