Anyone else here remember or play CTR? I poured hours into that game, absolutely loved it, beat oxide on almost every track. I loved that game more then any other racing game, including those today. I never did play mario kart, how did this game stack up to it? Anyone have any funny stories?

Yeah, I loved that game too. I was actually thinking about stuff like that the other day. What happened to fun racing games?

Back in the late 90s we had games like CTR, Mario Kart 64, even stuff like Lego Racing and Chocobo Racing had their charms.

The Mario Kart series has gone downhill and pretty much every other racing game now are just realistic cars and explosions with no joy to them.

I miss games like that, they were fun to just hang out and play with your friends.

Loved it. My buddy had Mario Kart and I had CTR. So he would kick my ass when we were at his place and I would beat him down when he was at mine. Good times

I loved the drifting boost mechanic, made the good players stand above. Though I hated how the losers would get the epic projectiles and powers lol

It was the game that got me started playing video games.
Used to play it after school at my mates place before I bought my own PS2.

Then finished it over and over again.

Man I loved that game as a kid. But I played it so much that it doesn't work anymore

I looooved it sooo much. I even play it with the family sometimes, it really is a fantastic game to play with people.

I was an uber pro at that game, I made all the shortcuts, boosted for entire races and even knew how to avoid the zappy thingo on Sewer Speedway 90% of the time.

And I could kick any of your asses at Sewer Speedway, just sayin'.

Best racing game ever. Mario Kart has nothing on CTR. I still play it now and again, and prefer it over any other racing game of the past or present. Good, good stuff. I got everything in it: all the highest relics, trophies, everything. I love that game.

EDIT: I really wish there was some way to get old games like that online. I'd love to race against you all. And battle. Bomb and vial battle in Courtyard, anyone?

Yesh! I've broken more than a few X buttons (and bruised more than a few thumbs) to that game. Good times.

That game is f'n awesome, definitely topped Mario and Diddy Racing, and, in at least my opinion, was the last great Crash game. If your looking for someone on YouTube to see CTR, may I suggest TheRayquaza93, his LP of it is pretty damn good. But yeah, hella awesome game.

i could never save so when I played, I played to Finnish every time. I actually mean up until I beat the races. Never had time for the relics. I always loved those credits.

it was awesome, i used to stay just behind the person i was playing against and just casually spam three missiles in succession when there bouncy time (and of course the breif imortality time) ran out.

needless to say they hated me.

Im pretty sure I clocked it. Then my brother broke the disc. The third time hes done that. *sigh* maybe ill get it over PSN eventually
