Often, fans of movies or series or games will come up with their own theories to explain a story, often they are the result of serious over-analysis, the future Dan Browns will have loads to keep them busy

Inception,
his wife pulled a fast one from the beginning getting Cobb mixed up. The entire movie from when they first to steal from saito to when he returns to america is on some high level dream. Thus is why when he is being chased in morrocco his assailants have the same nameless faceless bad-guys as the ones in the first dream level, his subconscious is trying to break him out, also in Morocco when he squeezes though the gap in the houses, a common nightmare involves the walls closing in on you.
Similarly the Matrix had a Russian doll style of dreams where Zion was in another machine dream construct. This is how Neo was able to mind-zap the robot attack things at the end of the second one.
Minority Report
Isn't it odd how just after he is put in the prison coma the whole story seems to work itself out.His wife comes back to him and breaks him out, he outsmarts that badguy frees the seers and even the jerk of an agent gets shot. This all happened in his head, the guard himself told him that often criminals will come up with dreams that make the coma prison more tolerable.
James Bond
We have had over 40 years of a smooth talking British agent booze, smoke and shag his way around the world stopping evil plans looking younger and younger.
Either james bond is another timelord righting wrongs on earth making the occasional regeneration or
James Bond is a Codename. Given to High Ranking Agents of Mi5.
Pokemon,
Soo many, some going all the way back to Pokemon Red.
