Purely Desert.
The world anthem will be written by Amon Amarth.
The currency is Pop-tarts.
And I, SUPREME RULER!
It would be an absolute fucking honor to inhabit this planet.

Unfortunately, I am not creative enough to top this, so i won't even try.

Mine would be a Terrascore 3 planet colored blue and would be populated entirly by creatures of my own creation. Then I'd get bored and shoot a couple a crystal mountains at it before going off to make more money off of the spice trade.

Cerule'a

Capitol Planet of the Cerulean Star Empire

Cerulean females are six feet tall males no elss that 5 foor two. The Cerulean planet is one world spanning ocean except for the central continent called Akhu'n. Akhu'n is a lush, verdant jungle like place with tall tropical trees as well as flourescent green mushrooms that are over 8 feet tall. The cities are built on long, splindly silver stands and are on massive silver discs over 100 feet int he air above the trees. the Cities are all gleaming silver, chrome and steel.

The Cerulean Government is Militaristic, they see glory and honor in conquest and warfare. Their culture is refined and full of epics of conquest from elder days and architecture is non-euclidean.

Cerulean spacecraft are large discs or crescents. Their flagship, the Shadestorm, is about the size of a very small city and carries more weapons than any other Cerulean vessel.

Cerulean language is high warbling tones and filled with s,sh,ch,l and y sounds. A typical sentence may read "Al syll'ah fly'ouh jira" apostrophes denote adjectives of a word and adverbs. The cerulean written language is flowing symbols that lace together into intricately patterned artworks. Unless you study the language it is impossible to tell art from a message.

The Cerlueans serve their High Emperor and his Council of White Light. It is a constitutional monarchy.

My planet would be inside out, like the halos but all the way round so the inside is completely cut off from the outside.

Inside, the light and heat would come from a big glowing crystal in the centre held there by the gravitational pull from all directions. The people would be able to get from one side to the other by effectively firing big grappling hooks across then sliding along them with a special monorail thing. The ruling council would meet inside the crystal thing in the centre in a special heat proof room.

Outside, there would be an entirely separate civilisation living almost as we do, and held towards the centre of the planet. The two would be completely unaware of each other and would not meet up until they had advanced enough to drill that far. A big asteroid impact might make a hole early and cause an early union though...

My planet would be a wasteland consumed by rivers of blood and rivers of lava.
The sky would be dark red and clouds would be black. The average temperature would be 33°F and would never snow.
The people will be violent and brutal warmongers. The government would consist of many kingdoms and tribes warring against each other for power. I shall be the king of the most powerful kingdom and cause many wars for amusement. Technology will advance very slowly but it will advance. The average person on this planet will also be 5 times stronger and more durable than the average human. Oh and the people breed and mature quickly.
So basically the daemon world draakasi

I remember doing that assignment in I, think, 9th grade. (age 14-15 for you non Yankees)

I think we decided our planet was to be a giant archipelago because everyone likes to live on or near a beach. It had two red moons. The water was clear and the grass and vegetation was purple for some reason. I think it?s cuz I was the only guy in my workgroup. I distinctly remember we named the planet Indiglo IX because my light up watch said it was nine oclock.
I can't remember the specifics.

My planet would be... Me.

No, not in a literal sense, but I would want to be the living Earth: a god within the land and the sea and the air.

As far as geographical features go, I like the features of Earth, but perhaps a bit cooler, so that there were no equatorial deserts and more forests.

Inhabitants/gov't/currency/etc: whatever evolved, and I would relish being around to see it grow.

...of course, with my luck, I'd be in a region of space with a lot of debris, and would get the shit knocked out of me by meteors and asteroids alot.

Mine would be a planet similar to Earth, with widely varied climates and ecosystems around the planet. However it would be more heavily urbanized, but with clean fuel sources as the source of energy to reduce pollution. Also, it would have orbiting shipyards and farm and industrial facilities to enable construction of a fleet, as well as support a large population. The form of government would be a somewhat democratic dictatorship. I'd be the top ruler guy, unable to be voted out, but there would be a legislature and such and the people could vote on laws and the like.

And there would be koalas. Too many koalas.
Hey, you do need a staple food source.

My planet would basically be like an Eldar Craftworld from Warhammer 40k, except without the space-elves.

I'd be able to sculpt it to my whims, and move it about the galaxy.

Oh Iain, not an original bone in your body.

A planet where nature could do it's thing without any human interruption.
