The other day, while working an idea popped into my head. This idea expanded throughout my shift and I've started writing about it. The thing is, I have no idea where the idea came from. It wasn't inspired by anything in particular, it just came to me.

Kind of rambling but yeah. So who knows what I'm talking about? Those of you who make games, artwork, write literature or Minecraft landscapes... Where do you think this inspiration comes from?

For me I've always been able to pick up ideas. It's finishing them (due to an incredible ability known as procrastination) that I've always had issues with. Always wanted to be an author although filmmaking is my current career path.

Anyone get those moments?

A Hermit's Cave
My 'magnum opus' (I say that quite hesitantly, since its universe is getting a little... much for even my massive imagination) has evolved so much since I first thought of it as a kid...

I typically get ideas based on... well, ideals, since a lot of my literature stems from conversations between major characters. Then the story builds itself from the motivations, prejudices and mentalities of the aforementioned characters and the conversation itself turns into a stupidly long exchange lost in the middle somewhere.

Happened with my fictional adaptation of the Second Punic War... wrote a (n original) long and overly philosophical conversation between 'a' main character and a hostage, realised it could be adapted and off I went... *shrug*
