Also, maybe I'm crazy, but if you buy a $160 headset for WoW you're probably retarded. If you buy a decent headset for a shooter or whatever, that's a good investment. But WoW? I've been using a $20 plastic piece of crap microphone for 5 years with no problems for ventrilo.
It's not as if you can't use them for other games; you're basically paying more for the branding (and the cool design), kind of like buying designer clothes instead of plain jeans and t-shirts from Old Navy.
