(I've been reading some of the "finish this story" threads on this forum and others. I've been dabbling with this sort of story in my head for awhile. I was curious How my favorite forum community could curve a small story idea into a better/funny/odd one!)

"...I'm the dog that gets beat..." Music blared from the small truck's speakers. A blond haired man, some people said he always looked younger then his actual age, slowly rocked his head to the beat of the music. Cars passed his truck repeatedly, he always seemed to drive just a little too cautious, some yelling from open windows. None of this seemed to bother the man. He just continued on with his slow commute; never bothering to acknowledge any trivial verbal threat yelled at him. He peered upwards towards his rear-view mirror. A pair of headlights, as far as he could make out, was moving up on his vehicle faster then the rest of the traffic. Extremely loud static spewed from his truck speakers, the man quickly looked downward from his mirror to quell the noise, he then looked back to the mirror. A loud clamor of metal, plastic and glass breaking enveloped the man's ears. Everything around him turned into a blur. Inertia tugged at his body. The last thing he would remember was the sound of his skull crashing against his windshield.

Light, or what seemed to appear as light, was all the man could see in front of him. A blinding light. It cloaked everything in front of him in a white-hot blanket. A soundless span of white lay before him. He looked down where his legs should have been; nothing was there. A looked farther up; nothing. Something crept into his thought. Something that felt so distant, yet familiar.

A voice could be heard. It sounded as if every person he had ever heard had been talking at once.
"What did they call you on earth?"
The man struggled to find something, He thought it was called a "voice" once.
"Um, I think they called me, Stephen?"
The voice seemed to laugh, scream, and cry all at once.
"Did you enjoy life?"
The man promptly replied.
"Hold on, wait, what? Am I... am I dead?"
The same pseudo-laugh bellowed.
"Yes, well, sort-of. You humans never seemed to get the whole death thing. What if I told you that you didn't die, but just restarted?"
"Well, I don't know."
A slew of images bombarded the vision of the man. Finally, the visions stopped on a scene similar to the span of bright white he had been in before, but this time it was a room of white.
"I'm not going to answer any questions, but just ask you, what do you want to do? Anything. I mean anything. Just remember, be careful what you wish for."
