Creepy Compliments

[The Black Vegetable]

"Jesus is here to save you". A bearded person walke up to me when I was out in the woods one day, and he said that. I think he meant it as a compliment, (that I'm good enough to be 'saved' by 'Jesus', presumably) but in context with the situation it was rather disturbing.

"Your soup might help me get rid of the rodents in my cellar". People who ate the things I cooked often said that, or something similar. It sure isn't the usual way of saying how good I can cook.

'Your hair smells really nice' as I was falling asleep. It was odd to say the least. I just mumbled a thanks pretending I was almost asleep.

Someone once called me the weirdest person he ever met. I don't have any problems with it to some extend, it's just who I probably am. But I hope not to be seen like that all of the time.

Some guy, who was loud, obnoxious and reeked to high heaven I might add, randomly complimented me for being so damn tall.
I smiled politely but I was seriously readying myself for the mad dash if he came closer to me.

Plus once a guy at a bar looked over my a friend of mine and told her she had great tits.
My friend was eighteen, this guy had to be at least thirty.

We ran from that place as fast as our legs could carry us.

I once had a kid come into a museum when I was working there and told me that I had a beard like his mother. That was slightly creepy.

"your husband is a lucky man" is creepy. Is the guy saying that hoping to be "lucky" too?

This is quite a common and normal compliment that could mean anything about your looks, actions, or demeanor. If you think this is creepy, you probably need to have a good serious look at the boundaries and prejudices you're putting up for other people, or rather other men.

I was having lunch with a couple of co-workers, small-talking a random story and out of nowhere one of them blurts out: "I think you'll become really rich."

Uhmmmm, okay? How nice.

I can't see this one getting beaten. A quote from my mother "Those trousers make your package look huge"... .. . .. ...

Oh and last week after some fooling around with my girlfriend she exhaustively said "I feel like I should say thank you" which was funny.

Both of which are ego boosting, but still unusual enough to throw me.

Oh I almost forgot too, I have been told now by 2 different dentists in my life that my teeth are exceptional. I'm British! Take that stereotypes. I Thought the first dentist who said it was coming on to me in some way, but it was validated by a second dentist later in life.

I don't think I've ever given any creepy compliments... but then some of you seem to have a vague notion of creepy me and my girlfriend say 'you smell nice' all the time.

Can't really think of one, so here is one that is a compliment and one which is just creepy.

Not really creepy just confusing: "Your English is very good, how long have you been learning?" Err, well how about my whole life?

I didn't really hear what they were saying since I had my earphones in, but 2 people in my class were just staring at me for well over 4 minutes. When I paused my music to ask them what they were saying I was told "Don't worry we are just taking about people we hate..."

that reminds me of what happened to me and my sis once.me,her and my dad went to a resturant one day and my dad went to the restroom once we entered.Then a waytress came up to us and asked us if we wanted a table for two.I was completely dumbfounded by this and very creeped out,but still to this day find it to be one of funniest things that happened to me mainly because I literaly loled when it happened. I feel bad for the waitress though.

OT:"I hate you"

When she told me this I acualy felt good about it for some reason.I think its because she was annoying and I saw that as an indication that she was going to leave me alone.

This was said by about 4 different people. Boys and Girls. They were standing around me in the middle of the school corridor, petting my head in awe.

I was told "I could imagine you as a werewolf." once. At least, I think it was a compliment.

I think this one depends on the context, but people tell me, surprisingly often, that they wish they had my hair. This wouldn't be too bad, except only women say it to me, and I'm a guy. A guy with a beard at that. One girl elaborated and said that she thought any girl would look great with MY hair. Maybe I'm just overthinkg this, but isn't that a backwards of saying I would look great as a girl? Because that's pretty creepy.

EDIT: I've remembered another one. After a friend of my had a brief but pretty offensive rant about how ugly ginger people are (I live in the UK), they turned to me and said "Don't worry, you're not that ginger anyway." Come to think of it, the ugly gingers stereotype only seems to apply to men, which might be why everyone seems to want to put my hair on a girl. I still don't feel any better though :/
