There will always be times where, we dont get the punchline. It happens unfortunatly, but, thats just how it is~ Some people will prolly get this and may find it hilarious!Break said:Y'know, I kind of like how you're happy to make jokes and references to things people might not understand at all.
I have a Sliver Queen deck in my (ludicrously overpowered for casual play) Foil Sliver deck (buying the advantage for the win!) and she owns. She essentially gives you free ammo for other Sliver's abilities and/or gives you buffed, double striking, deathtouching monster slivers every turn later in the game.Jhereg42 said:I had this card called the Sliver Queen that basically mades tons of little 1/1 cannonfodder. Everybody was like "oooh, scary" until I played an Overrun.
There is no greater sense of satisfaction than killing all three opponents in a 4 way duel in one turn thanks to a horde of 1/1 Slivers.
Eldrazi decks are so much fun, I almost feel bad sometimes, almost. Hand of Emrakul [http://magiccards.info/roe/en/5.html] is still one of my favorites for how quickly you can have a 7/7 Annihilator 1 on the board.Grey Carter said:On the face of it, there's nothing special about the Welkin Tern, it's a 2/1 flyer for 2 mana. A decent quick drop and good for pecking away at an opponent but it's not going to set the earth on fire (that's a little joke, it does) when compared to some [http://magiccards.info/query?q=pathrazer&v=card&s=cname], of [http://magiccards.info/arc/en/123.html], the [http://magiccards.info/roe/en/7.html], cards [http://magiccards.info/roe/en/4.html] in my deck.
Overrun is awesome for that. My last magic game ended when my 10 2/2 wolves (I had a card that put a token down for every forest I had in play, and my deck was designed to put forests out fast) became 5/5. All in all, I hit with 84 points of damage.Jhereg42 said:I had this card called the Sliver Queen that basically mades tons of little 1/1 cannonfodder. Most people who've played magic should get the joke- we've all seen stuff like this.Break said:Y'know, I kind of like how you're happy to make jokes and references to things people might not understand at all.
I do feel kind of bad because they prove those people who've been whining about power creep for the past few years like nine different flavours of right.Slycne said:Eldrazi decks are so much fun, I almost feel bad sometimes, almost. In my last game against Cory and Ian (owner of the terninator) in Duels of the Planeswalkers. I used the elf deck and put coat of arms into play (every creature gets +1/+1 for every creature it shares a creature type with). Cory then put some green bullshit enchantment into play which gave him a Tree creature into play every turn. When we finally duked it out he dealt 450 damage to me in a turn.BloodSquirrel said:Overrun is awesome for that. I also like using lure to force all of my opponents monsters to block one attacker, leaving them wide open for the rest of my dudes.
True, though I think people often dismiss or forget about some of the crazy stuff in older editions. There are some very powerful cards like Balance "I'm resetting the game for 2 mana." Though almost every deck I construct now includes Enchantment destruction to deal with 2011 core set Leylines, those are annoying as all hell.Grey Carter said:I do feel kind of bad because they prove those people who've been whining about power creep for the past few years like nine different flavours of right.
Some of them just stray into complete bullshit territory. Especially when combined with everyone's favourite fatty dropper, Elvish Piper.
Oh God yes. Leyline of sanctity [http://magiccards.info/m11/en/21.html] may as well read "Players with red or black decks may not win the game."Slycne said:True, though I think people often dismiss or forget about some of the crazy stuff in older editions.
