I've always spelled colour and armour like that. It makes me feel fancy :D

Also: The art is meh. I prefer hard lines instead of soft scratches.

I'm loving the new art direction, Cory. It really fits the crisp and clean look of The Escapist.

And when compared with you're old stuff, I see that you've really improved over the years. :D

OT: A game? Heck, it sounds pretty neat-o. If you could, post a link on a future comics once you guys get it finished. I wouldn't mind trying it out.

Anyway, keep up the good work, you two.

I, for one, welcome our pre-existing americanizing overlord.

Susan.

Four score and 156 years ago, our fathers brought fourth on this continent, a new nation, conceived without the tyranny of excessive u's and q's scattered throughout our grammar. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, a war that will decide whether we shop at shops or at the shoppe.

all that useful input
Thanks for letting me know! Over the past few+ months I've been putting a lot more effort into the faces I draw and making them less cartoony. This has consisted of hashing out more distinct and realistic jawlines, drawing more stylized and expressive eyes and making mouths contour more to the curve and angle of any face (to the best of my ability). But more lately than that, Grey has put me on a regimen of taking this realism and toning it back to a more cartoony feel, taking what I learned and utilizing it for design whatevers. It is safe to say the super shinny/messy lines era is dead and will never return, but some face changes are here to stay. For instance the strips you linked were when I was drawing pointy chins and cartoon stock style faces, though the pointy chins and the simple button nose will be forever gone, I will try and bring back some of the flatter, more easily expressive mouths in the future (if that helps) as it fits in with the current art direction. I'm wondering for clarity if the faces in this strip: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/comics/critical-miss/10144-Critical-Miss-Top-Five-Games-of-2012-3 are the type you most dislike?

Can I weigh in and say this style is probably my favourite?
Of course you can! As for what this, the background style will still remain blocky and painty but the only big difference is that I've stopped using my variable cel-shading. It was taking too much time and distracted from some of my key issues which were clean, expressive linework and proper flat colors. This will come back in the future as I pick up my pace but I need a little time to work on some other areas of my art.

Thank you everyone for the input on the art stuffs, especially people who said they liked it because it made me feel good (though criticism is equally useful just not quite as feel-good).

The character's heads have always looked...off to me. They lack a certain structure, as if their jaws and cheekbones slightly change shape every panel, and sometimes the features don't seem to have been connected to the rest of the head with much thought.

So, I am way late to the crit miss party, but I've accident,y spent all day reading every single one of these comics and I've realized two things.

1) Just discovering a web comic that has going on for this long and has this many entries is like reading a stop-motion video of art styles. With how much your art styles have fluctuated over the years, it seems odd to make such an announcement as this one about something new, but I'm excited, both for the new style, and becoming a new fan.

2) I have reveled a crush on Erin... It's is messed up on so many levels. (Hmm... Crush on a fictious webcomic character that sees fictious video game characters created in my universe, but shared with her fictious universe, wander around, interacting in a manner wildly different than there normal actions would dictate, yet interestingly in sync with their true make up... Not the kind of girl you want to write home to your mother about XD)

A cat photoshopped into a Sex Pistols album cover?
Sex pistols?
It clearly says, 'London Calling' and 'The Clash' on there. Have you been drinking the window cleaner again?

I can't help it; it tastes like victory!
