Seriously, you're on the internet.
Actually, given the responses on this thread, I've decided to not indulge my curiosity, which is a habit I tend to cling to rather tightly on the internet, which is also how I maintain my own naivety/innocence (seriously, I'm so innocent for my age it surprises people (and I'm a socially off-centre nerd, so sexual ignorance is kind of expected))

So, let's get the system down:

Slytherin: Assholes

Gryffindor: Assholes in therapy

Hufflepuff: Rejects

Ravenclaw: apparently the only group that actually came for the education
ironically ravenclaw are supposed to be smart beforehand.

It's nice to see that the hat is always funny even when it's just doing it's job.

That was funny, loved Harry potter.
Also love the small text at the bottom, did not expect a Deltron 3030 reference.

Ah well, enough rambling. Good strip. I've ready enough Harry Potter to be something of a fan, and to have put some thought into the universe.
Read thru the whole mini-article you wrote, and it was very informative as to how an expanded Harry Potter universe might/should unfold. But near the end weirdly all I could think of was wanting to fire up Academagia. It's simply put, pretty much a Hogwarts/Harry Potter simulator of the first year of being in a wizarding school without running into a licensing issue or three. It seems to have a steep learning curve, but once it clicks, it's magic :p

Wow, using 'yiffing' as the punchline in a comic generally dealing with games.
Classy...

On the other hand, CAD and Penny Arcade already did that before you, so...
Now you can officially hang out with the big boys, or something like that?

Id like to just clear up that yiffing is a word with a kneejerk hate response even within the fandom, not that id know anything about that.

And it was revealed that Hufflepuff was not in fact a house, but a profanity used in the old days. But the name stuck so Dumbledor went ahead and named a house after it anyway.

Indeed. We often use words used in luminaries such as Penny Arcade and CAD.

"The" is one such example. We use that one a lot.

Also, could you link me to this Penny Arcade Yiffing strip?

You wouldn't necessarily need to look it up though, there are so many insults people throw around about it...

As this is appropriate, and hilarious:

OT: That was one of the 'laugh-out-loud' strips, which I note are coming more frequently as of late.

Keep it up.

I picked up that game from Gamer's Gate a while back and for some reason can't get it to run. Seemed neat which is why I bougt it. Planning on trying to make it work again at some point when I have a higher tolerance for frustration.

Shouldn't the title be "Hat's gonna hat"? Or is there more than one hat that is going to be... hatting? I've never read a Harry Potter book, so I don't know, but if there's only the one hat it should be "Hat's gonna hat."

In any case, this one was great. The look on the kid's face when the hat says "Hufflepuff" (Which I had to look up), was priceless.

Last I checked, Penny Arcade does not own a copyright on jokes about questionable social behaviour.

And I must protest to your mentioning "that comic" and Penny Arcade in the same sentence, that in itself is a joke in somewhat poor taste.

Ahh man always have to be someone making fun of furries isn't there.
And why are you people so shocked at the concept of 'yiffing'. Rule 34 people, isn't it enough to know theres porn of EVERYTHING to not be shocked when you learn theres another type.

It bothers me that I never noticed this about Hogwarts. How sinister. Utterly hilarious, but still sinister.

I did enjoy the first four books when I was younger. I loved reading about the fantasy world of HP, and that was enough till I grew a tad older and started caring about characterisation. (At which point the series became dull for me) I can't help but think if the main protagonists were each from a different house it might've been a lot more interesting.

I can't imagine the amount of sexual depravity there would be in Hogwarts if everyone's preferences were announced that way!

Anywho, brilliant comic~!
