What cross-overs do you think would make a good franchise? Alien versus Predator worked (easily), Star Wars and Soul Caliber...has been done, at least, as has Doctor Who and Star Trek.

What else would you ask for?

Personally, another thread here pointed out the Galactic Empire pitted against the Imperium of Man, which would be awesome, really.

The problem with cross-overs is that unless one party gets transferred to the other universe, it's hard to find two mythos exactly the same.

For instance, in another thread, someone wanted to see Han Solo + Malcolm Reynolds.
This would be the greatest thing in the history of humankind.

But the two universes are completely incompatible.
And that would completely destroy the universe in a spastic explosion of epicness.

It also led to the destruction of the Galactic Empire. Stormtroopers and AT-AT's can't really match Kasrkin and Titans.

In short - we destroyed Star Wars without even having to call in any specialists (Space Marines, Sisters of Battle, Assassins). Imperial Guard, Imperial Navy did it all. In a week.

For the most part, I don't read or watch cross-over fiction. I prefer my franchises in their own universes.

As for what cross-over I'd like to see...
Kuroshitsuji and Bleach. It would be so stupid, but so brilliant at the same time.

I have thought about this many times. It just would not work. The Federation's ships are small time comparatively speaking. One Super Star Destroyer (heaven forbid a star Defender) could take on the ENTIRE Fed fleet, a la Borg.

Now... Star Wars vs the Borg? I'd cream my pants. Sorry if that last comment freaked anyone out, but it's true.

Cross-overs? BURN IT ALL!

They never work. Especially not your beloved "Alien vs Predator". That made me die a little inside.

Take Dracula and have characters from that cross with 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, maybe a little of King Solomon's Mines, throw in a bit of Jekyll and Hyde and maybe some Invisible Man, and you've got a deal. Hey, wait a minute...

True. Loved Alien, loved Predator, hated Alien vs Predator.

We could do Predator vs Batman.... Just a thought.

Robocop Vs. Terminator disagrees with you most heartily, as did Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash.

I'd LOVE to see Judge Dredd Vs. Robocop. The Judge Dredd Vs. Batman ones are pretty awesome.

Wait, what? They crossed Doctor Who and Star Trex over with each other.

Oh lord. The campiness and sheer geek awesomeness combined into one place must have made at least one geek's head explode. I don't even like either series, and I want to see this crossover.

Anyway, uhh... Castlevania and Hellsing, so that Dracula, Alucard (Castlevania one), and Alucard (Hellsing Dracula), could duke it out over who is the most powerful.

Didn't actually read it, but apparently there's a novel out there that has the Enterprise go to a system near Gallifrey and team up with Tom Baker to kick some ass. Or so legends tell.

The idea of crossovers died for me when I watched Alien vs. Predator. It seemed like a good idea on paper; alien race likes to hunt humans, other alien race likes to hunt humans and slobber a lot. It had so much promise... *sigh*

I personally vote for a ban on crossover fiction.

I'm with you, Cap. I used to think crossovers were a great idea, and then I turned eight. Since then, I've learn what the problem is with crossovers: they spoil everything.
