Anyone thats a programmer or academic will have probably experienced this, the rush before you complete a project/milestone/assignment. For me it usually means no sleep and no gaming - I eat, drink and program and generally run around looking like a corpse.

This is probably the mark of a seasoned procrastinator. You'd think I would learn...

Over this weekend, between work and programming, I have managed to get 6 hours sleep. My coffee supply is starting to run low as well. All for a game that we are creating for our assignment.

My shortest crunch ever: I forgot a 2000 word english essay was due and completed it during my lunch when in year 12. I got an A.

Longest crunch ever: 4 days without sleep due to both work and study (i do night shift).
I finished my project, rode my motorbike and fell asleep while riding, I woke up some distance down the road (thankfully straight and without traffic). I got home and slept for a full day.

So share your stories, or if this thread is stupid and I've made no sense, feel free to message me and tell me that I shouldn't post without sleep!

Not one of my experiences, but it's funny nonetheless.
During our Spanish class, one of my friends realized he forgot to do some assignment(can't remember what it was exactly), so he dashed out of the room while the teacher looked away, went to the computers and typed it up and printed it within five minutes without being noticed.
Pretty damn impressive.

Oh here we fucking go! The crunch this, the crunch that! Boy, you know nothing of the crunch!

Richard Ayoade dressed as an old lady about to die was the thing I immediately thought of when I saw this.

On topic, In year 9 textiles I kept forgetting my folder and stuff for my shirt, then I just pulled it off in the last lesson and made a shirt which stopped me from failing.

Must...block...painful...memories...

Humanity would be better off if we weeded out procrastination via genetic engineering or something.

Spent 14 hours straight on Geography coursework back in Year 10 because I'd kept putting it off and off.

Oh, and whenever it gets near a gig, I constantly play my guitar. I just can't stop, because I'm paranoid that something awful will happen. Not quite the same, but it does deprive me of some sleep.

WOO! I love procrastinating, and I actually can't work until the pressure is up to deep sea levels, but damn do I work well when I get round to it!

I can't remember my longest crunch, but my shortest (and most successful) was 2 and a half A4 pages in a fifteen minute break-time, and I got A* while no one else got better than C
