Alright, I admit the title is eccentric. I really like Crysis 2. It has been the only "Good game" I have played sense Reach.

I friggin loved the story mode of it. Even though I still am confused. (WTF IS UP WITH PROPHET)
And playing the "New recrutes" Mode in online was fun... But now that I am level 11... the online is starting suck. Badly.

Alright, In the "Training" or so to speak mode, I avraged positive, something I can't do in any call of duty game. but going into the standard mode, I can't do jack shit.

Every corner I turn, their is some fuck-tart with the MK60 somehow using stealth and then ripping my torso off with maximum armor on in less than a second. The guns magically loose all of their bullets after .2 seconds of firing them. People without max armor can take 2 clips of the shotgun and not go down! Is their something wrong with this mode? Another thing is, of the 10 times i've played that mode, I haven't won once! Why the hell did it take such a drop of being fun, to being a fucking hassel?

Another thing is, the heavy assault rifle in the game is SO FUCKING OVER POWERED. Litterally, I take one hit from that thing, Max armor or not, I die.

Please tell me stupid shit like this will get fixed, or else I will probably drop kick the game out of my window.

So, what, are we basically dealing with another Call of Duty here? You know, where the campaign is terribly short, yet slightly sweet, and the multiplayer makes up about 9/10 of the game?

The other two Crysis had pretty substantial single player and I'd be surprised if Crysis 2 was different.

If something's over powered, I'd say go ahead and use it.
Beat 'em with a taste of their own medicine.

Whilst i find the multiplayer quite fun, and the story is fantastic, one thing i have noticed in multiplayer is that there doesn't seem to be much consistency in the number of shots it takes to kill a person (more specifically me xD). I'll watch the killcam and it looks like they kill me with one shot (not even a headshot) when i have max armour on, and then i'll watch the next one and it takes them a whole clip. its most confusing.
Its still the most fun i've had with multiplayer in a hell of a long time though.

I was able to beat the last COD game in arround 4 and a half hours.
I was able to beat halo reach in arround 6 or 7
I beat homefront in 3 and a half

I beat crysis 2 in twelve. and I was satisfied almost every moment of it.

The online seems to be the "We didn't have time to finish it, so we're just leaving it crappy and such" aspect of the game.

Meh, I hated the multiplayer. Was turned off of it because of the demo. Just too much like Call of Duty for my tastes. And while I actually like Call of Duty, I just wish they did something else with the multiplayer.

And they could have. The suit provides so many awesome opportunities.

Like a Predator gamemode, where a player is the Predator, and has all abilities active. The other players don't, and have to either survive for a set amount of time, maybe make it to the safehouse, or kill the Predator.

A platforming race-type mode. You hop along New York Skyscrapers, Mirror's Edge style, and race others to the finish line. You'll need Crysis 1's speed mode to do this though. But it would be great.

Thunderdome - a mode where players are tossed into an arena, and have to fistfight until one is left standing. Last man standing is what it would be I guess.

Maybe have challenge modes like from the Timesplitters games. Have leaderboards for 'em and everything. Maybe even some co-op challenges. One suit add a lot to the gameplay? How about you and a buddy, going through missions together. Kind of like MW2's Spec Ops mode, only in Crysis.

Seriously, so much you could do, and they just make it like Call of Duty with cloaking whenever you want and the ability to jump high. What stings even more is that Crytek UK, formerly Free Radical, who made Timesplitters(AKA the gratest games EVER MADE) made the multiplayer. Just... god dammit.

Story was more fun though, if... lets just say "inconsistent".

Prepare to be surprised.

Eh, the weapons create a sort of disparity; the grendel, for instance, is overpowered as hell at long-medium range with an extended clip, but almost every other will tear its ass at short range, even the auto sniper.

The multiplayer got better for me once i unlocked the ctf gamemode.

Also. MASTACHIEFPWN, Y U NO POST THIS ON REDDIT?

There is a mode you unlock around level 18 I think that is similar to spies vs. mercs in Splinter Cell. One team has the nanosuits while the other team is regular soldiers. I believe when you are the team with nanosuits you are unarmed and trying to plant charges on specific objectives. I am only level 15 right now so I haven't played it yet but it seems more like the type of game modes you are talking about. Of course you would have to play the more standard game modes for quite a while in order to unlock it but luckily for me I find the multiplayer really enjoyable.

Why they don't just open them at the start, or put up a separate playlist for the more "off the wall" gametypes I'll never know. Locking them away just makes it feel like grinding...

At least to me.
