New York? What human army is there to fight? I dont want to fight floating aliens the whole game.
Ever play Prototype?

I was hoping for Nomad and Psycho co-op on those fucked up islands.[/quote]

I'm sure there'll be a few mods out there to satisfy that desire :)

Once or twice during intensely epic fight scenes (and I mean with ~10+ people with armor/air support). Other than that, yes, my 8800 GT stayed above 35. I always have FRAPS open. My new SINGLE GTX 260 destroys this game.

And this is only Crysis 1. Warhead fares much better because of the engine optimizations, and Crysis 2 I suspect will only be even better on PC.
Wow, quite odd. Maybe I got a crappy mobo bottlenecking something, or SLI is just a big joke. I have the i7 920 processor, 6 gigs triple channel ram (only 3 being used of course- XP), and freakin 2 gtx260's, according to conventional wisdom my machine should be solidly kick ass. At least for most things it works very well. What OS are you running?

I thought he meant visually. Which would be true.
There are screens, and more importantly, HD video, of Crysis 2 out?

Or just the engine demo?
I meant console vs PC versions. Crysis may have been badly optimised, but it's the best looking game out right now for a reason, and considering a member of Crytek staff said the PC version would look very similar to the console version, surely that must mean that it's not going to look better than it's predecessor from a technical standpoint, no?

I mean he didn't say "this game will look worse than it's predecessor" but he kind of implied it, hence the reason I said all of that. Part of me doesn't really care, part of me does because it kind of makes me think that their attitude towards the PC has shifted (for no good reason).

But they could well change the art direction in the sequel (which I doubt for some reason) which would indeed mean it looks better, but not from a technical standpoint.
