Based on the comments on all the articles I've seen about this I'm apparently the only person on Earth who hopes Crysis retains it's city setting because I really hated the first game. Sure, make the city sections bigger and give you more freedom but for the love of God please don't drop me on another ugly-looking tropical island.

I don't mind city settings, just boring city settings. Who says that all cities have to be gunmetal gray? Why not set it in a tropical city, or an alien one that keeps the urban environment and blends it with organic technology like the aliens had?

And on top of that why are they making it for the current gen consoles? surely they could do so much more with the hardware that's coming next year. Hopefully they're writing an even more optimised engine than their current one, if that's even possible.

Put it wherever the hell you like but bring back original Crysis non-leaner approach and other gameplay elements. And for the love of god tell us what happened with Crysis 1 characters and how the hell did Prophet survive the events of Crysis 1 twice!

Yeah, they desperately need to optimize their engine for the consoles. Crysis 2 looked okay, lots of pop-in and a framerate stuck in the lower 20's. It's a beautiful mess of a game.

The Crysis port however just looks straight up like ass. Looks like a high-res PS2 game.

I'm hoping they set it in a more interesting city like Tokyo or Shanghai.
