while Crisis 2 did really piss me off since the ending made no sense at all, I did thoroughly enjoy the single player campaign for it and still rank it as one of the best FPS campaigns in recent years.

Crysis 2 hardware melting?... I beg to differ... maybe after the DX11 patch, but not hardware melting in any way.

Now they're turning Alcatraz (what happened to Nomad and Psycho?) into Turok... nice.

Yes, the full game when they finally got it put out via patches was hardware melting. Saying it was not hardware melting just because the initial release was limited to a lower graphical programming api than the original was dumb.

It's not even hardware melting with Dx11 patch and texture.
I was able to play that game with only one of my gpus.

This seems awfully well timed by EA. It seems like EA are trying to divert everyone's attention from the whole 'dark side' petition PR stunt, which ironically was also a diversion from the 'worst company in america' thing. It doesn't even shock me how despicable EA is anymore.

Also, why the fuck you spend a gajillion dollars on a nanosoldier and give him a goddam bow and arrow?

Ea pricing the game at $49.99 is part of some grand evil plan, it has to be right? It's not like they are using digital distribution to make games cheaper, when valve isn't.

You do know that it's the developers and publishers that set the price of the games they sell on Steam right? Not Valve.

Pretty sure Portal 2 was $49.99 on release too.

OT: Whilst I liked Crysis 2 I don't think I'll be picking up the next in the series.

As one of the few people who really liked Crysis 2 for what it was (even though Crysis and Warhead were way better) I'm pretty excited for this. Hopefully they open it up a little more like the first game, though I'm not holding my breath.

Pretty much this. I'm tentatively interested, as I am a massive fan of the first game and quite liked the second, but I've been burned too many times by EA to pre-order the thing. Gonna let some post-release gameplay vids come out first.
