Pardon if there is a thread which adequately deals with this problem but I simply have not been able to find one.
So, recently got a new rig and therefore also win7(specifically 64-bit home premium). After installing Crysis and trying to run it it randomly chooses whether to start up or not and if it eventually does start up it crashes right after it has finished loading a new game.
I have found topics which seem to be right but the suggestions are mainly setting .exe compatibility and updating NVidia drivers, compatibility failed and driver update is out of the question due to not having Nvidia.

So, if you were to be so kind and give some advice on the problem.

Update the drivers for your card instead of the Nvidea ones then if you don't have and Nvidea card.

Is that windows updates or ATI/Graphic specific updates?

Do you have a Bin 64 folder in the Crysis folder?

Every driver, system program that could have been updated were flaring up, so it is rather doubtful that anything got overlooked and since the switch was done last week, I doubt that there have been any new updates.

Did you update the game? Mine worked fine until I updated it to the latest version, then it just crashed on start-up.
I couldn't find a way to fix it so I just re-installed it and updated it to the version before that one.

Nope, have not updated the game.

Not doing anything anymore really until I get an idea as to what the fuck is wrong with it.
